Rooted in Second Chances
Building pathways to belonging, opportunity, and community.
Second Chance Tucson is a community transformation model—not just a reentry initiative. We believe that healing, accountability, and reintegration must be shared responsibilities. Our work is led by lived experience and designed to reduce stigma, restore dignity, and build sustainable systems of support.
Your ongoing support powers:
-
Job Fairs & Career Navigation: Connecting justice-involved individuals to meaningful employment
-
Resource Referrals: Housing, ID, transportation, and more
-
Speaker Series & Community Education: Reducing stigma through storytelling and shared learning
-
Volunteer & Community Events: Building trust and belonging across sectors
-
Organizational Infrastructure: Data systems, onboarding, and governance rooted in equity
We start with infrastructure—then grow into impact. Every donation helps us build the systems, relationships, and visibility needed to shift outcomes for justice-involved people across Tucson.

The Collective is Second Chance Tucson’s monthly giving community — a group of people who believe that dignity, belonging, and opportunity should be within reach for every person returning home from incarceration.
Rooted in second chances and grounded in shared humanity, members of The Collective help nurture a community where people are met with connection rather than stigma, and possibility rather than barriers.
While grants are valuable, they often come with restrictions that limit agility, innovation, and the ability to respond to real‑time needs. The philanthropy world still treats “overhead” like a dirty word, as if administrative capacity isn’t the very thing that makes impact possible.
But we know better. Strong coordination, community education, and relationship‑building are not extras — they are the work.
Monthly donations give Second Chance Tucson the flexibility to use funds where and when they are needed most. They allow us to be strategic, sustainable, and responsive to the people and partners who rely on us.
Members of The Collective make it possible for SCT to grow thoughtfully, strengthen community connections, and ensure that reentry in Tucson is truly a community effort.
Second Chance Tucson is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. All donations are tax-deductible under current IRS rules and regulations regarding deductions to the fullest extent of the law.
