Second Chance Tucson Community Forum 2026

This forum will focus on community collaboration, holistic approaches to reentry, and the need for cross-sector partnership to ensure continuity of care for people returning from incarceration.

Our featured speaker will be Sherry Johnston of the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office, who will present on the REDEEM program at Watkins Adult Detention Center. REDEEM brings together a wide range of supports, including cognitive behavioral programming, substance use treatment, parenting, resiliency, employment support, yoga, faith-based services, mentoring, and more. Her presentation will explore how collaborative, non-punitive, and person-centered approaches can improve outcomes both in custody and after release.
